DIY Felt Ornaments - Filz Ornamente - Weihnachtsbaumschmuck

Hey everyone!

Christmas is right around the corner and it's time to make our homes all cozy and christmassy and to start gathering presents for our loved ones. 

As you all know I am crazy about both DIYing and decorating, so I decided to make a whole christmas series this year on DIY decor and presents. Wanna join me? Come and see what I came up with this year!

I am posting all my christmas DIY projects in seperate blog posts to make it easier for you to access just what you are looking for.

Here is my first one: DIY heart ornaments for your tree, mantel or any other place you want to dress up for christmas.

You will need:

felt fabric in different colours (I chose red, white and grey)

thick yarn in contrasting colours (I chose black and creme)

needle

polyester filling

Start by cutting out two sizes of hearts in the colours of your choice.

Using bold stitches, stitch the small hearts on top of the big ones.

Now stitch together two big hearts using the blanket stitch (I learned it myself from this tutorial at Holiday, Crafts and Creations) and add the filling as you go.

Add a loop of yarn to the top of the heart.

Aloha, ihr Hübschen!

Weihnachten steht vor der Tür und ich bin schon seit Wochen am Brainstormen, Vorbereiten und Basteln, um meine Wohnung gemütlich und festlich zu machen. 

Ich habe an diversen DIY Projekten für Geschenke und Deko gearbeitet. Auf meinem Youtube Kanal habe ich in den kommenden Tagen jeweils ein Video zu DIY Geschenken und Deko für euch. Die Anleitungen für die einzelnen Projekte hätten die Videos auf Spielfilmlänge anschwellen lassen, daher habe ich sie euch in einzelnen Blogposts hinterlegt. So könnt ihr ganz einfach die Projekte anklicken, die euch interessieren.

In diesem Post geht es nun los mit meinen Dekoherzen aus Filz. Sie machen sich super als Christbaumschmuck, aber ihr könnt sie z.B. auch an Weihnachtsgirlanden,  Bettpfosten oder Türklinken hängen, um eure Wohnung weihnachtlich zu machen.

Ihr braucht:

Filz Stoff in verschiedenen Farben (ich habe rot, weiß und grau genommen)

Stickgarn ( ich habe creme und schwarz gewählt)

eine Nadel

Füllwatte (z.B. Teddybär Füllung)

Schneidet Herzen in zwei verschiedenen Größen und Farben aus.

Näht die kleinen Herzen mit großen sichtbaren Stichen auf die großen Herzen.

Näht dann mit Hilfe des Festonstiches zwei große Herzen zusammen und füllt es dabei mit der Füllwatte. Ich habe den Festonstich nach dieser Anleitung von Holiday, Crafts and Creations gelernt. Sie ist auf Englisch, aber ihr könnt ganz einfach den Bildern folgen.
